Alison Jones is the scientific portfolio lead for Logica and has been with Charles River for over three years. She is a science director and has strategic scientific oversight of all Logica projects as well as oversight of a number of large Charles River integrated drug discovery client projects. Alison has over 26 years of experience in drug discovery with a background in medicinal chemistry and has worked in a number of small to medium size biotechs as well as in the contract research organization (CRO) sector. She has led teams in many different therapeutic areas, including oncology, inflammation, and neurodegenerative diseases, delivering novel small molecule candidates. She is a named inventor on over 20 patents with a niche expertise in establishing company patent portfolios.
She has a first-class degree in medicinal chemistry from the University of Glasgow and a Ph.D. from Durham University.
